Wishing for Towering Mesas and Vibrant Sunflowers in your Lyons Maternity Photography?
Sometimes I forget that in Colorado we are in the Southwestern United States and then I do a maternity photography session in Lyons. Mesas are a big part of our landscape, but I haven’t seen a spot with them so close and so easily incorporated into photos as this location just outside of Lyons. Add the wildflowers, and sunflowers in late summer, and this location is a winner. It really is a unique location that is unmatched in anything else I’ve seen in Northern Colorado. And it is so easy to get to and so easy to access the photo locations themselves.
Why This Location Shines for Maternity Photography
Unique Mesa Backdrops
Awe-inspiring backdrops right next to the parking lot. We literally were never farther than a five minute walk from the parking lot for any of these photos. Sometimes I was standing on pavement to take the photos. That is a winner in my eyes. It means that we are not wasting time walking around and getting the most photos possible at your session. It also means that if movement is getting more difficult in those last couple of months of pregnancy, you won’t have an issue with this location.
Image Variety
We can also get good variety here. Between the sprawling grassy areas, rocky outcroppings, and views, there are multiple backdrops within close proximity. It makes for great choices for those close up shots and for the sweeping landscapes. And no one wants their photos to all look the same, so this location really does deliver. You really can’t go wrong here.
Why This Location Might be for You
I’d recommend this location for you if want any or all of the following:
You want something that screams the southwest
You want something that screams Colorado, but want something other than the Rocky Mountains
You want sunflowers and it’s late summer
You want wildflowers and it’s spring/summer
