Two Newborn Photo Experiences
In-Home Newborn Session
For the family that wants to capture all the snuggles and cuddles where most of the newborn action happens with the backdrop of your home and baby’s nursery.
Outdoor Newborn Session
For the family that wants to capture their growing family surrounded by their wider home with the backdrop of towering mountains, wide stretching plains, magnificent valleys, and all the beauty the Colorado wilderness has to offer.
Newborn Client Closet
It’s hard to know what size you’ll be and what size baby will be when they have been born. I provide a client closet with items for both mom and baby for this very reason. With both in-home and outdoor newborn sessions in mind, you’ll find the following in my client closet:
casual, flowy dresses for mom, with the option of choosing from my maternity collection as well
newborn outfits that show off all their cuteness, won’t overwhelm their tiny bodies, and can coordinate easily with the family
wraps and swaddles, so that we can either wrap up a baby that loves to be swaddled or keep them warm at a cooler outdoor session
outfits for babies through the first year, so that you can utilize the closet throughout all their baby milestone sessions as well
cake stands and first birthday props if an outdoor cake smash is up to your liking
Newborn Session Locations
Whether you’re having an in-home or an outdoor newborn session, I’ll be here to help you figure out the perfect location and backdrop. For outdoor locations, you’ll find location overviews with the following:

For in-home sessions, we’ll discuss in detail what rooms you want to focus on (e.g. nursery, master bedroom, living room) and I’ll scout your house for the best lighting and backdrops for your photos.
Being a mom is like having your heart escape your body and be given two feet. Introduce your heart to your favorite place indoors or out.
What to Expect from Your Newborn Experience

Learn the Details
Reach out to see if I’m available and to get more information. If you like what you learn, we then have a virtual chat. An easy peasy 15 minute call over video chat online. We meet. You ask the questions and I answer. You decide if you want to book. If you do, you pay the sitting fee, sign my contract, and we’re set.

Design Meeting
30 minute virtual meeting about a month before your session to choose client closet gowns, the location, and iron out all the details for your session.
For clients that book their maternity and newborn together, we’ll do the design meetings all at once. That means everything is done before baby even arrives.

Your Session
For in-home sessions, I’ll arrive just as you’re finishing getting ready. I’ll take a few minutes to look around your home and find the best spots for photos. Then we’ll work at the pace of the little one. When they need to eat or have a diaper change, we’ll take a break. When they’re ready for photos, we’ll proceed.
For outdoor newborn sessions, I’ll meet you at the location and we’ll take a few moments to get ready. I’ve built in plenty of time before sunset to take breaks as the little one needs it.

Slideshow and Ordering Period
Within a couple days of your session, I send you a sneak peek. And within a few short weeks, your final gallery is ready.
You’ll first see all the edited images from your session in a professionally composed slideshow. You choose your digital image collection, download your images files, and decide if you want print products.
