Wishing for Enchantment in your Northern Colorado Maternity Photography?

Northern Colorado Maternity Photography captures mom-to-be

Northern Colorado has so many amazing places to capture maternity photography.  From the plains to the mountains and everything in between, there really is a location for everyone.  And pieces of wilderness can be in the most random of places.  This location, in Fort Lupton, is behind a complex of ball parks.  You wouldn’t know it’s there, if you weren’t already aware of it.  And that’s the best kind of wilderness, because it means that we have the whole place to ourselves.

Why This Location Shines for Maternity Photography

There are a few reasons I love this location for maternity sessions.  First is the fact that it’s a grove of old growth trees.  When the golden hour light hits them, they feel enchanted.  The wide variety of foliage in the grove also adds a lot of visual interest.  There are logs to sit on and wildflowers to photograph through.

I also love that this location is so underrated.  It means that we can have the place to ourselves.  We will always have the first choice of photo locations and there is no worrying about avoiding people in the background.

Lastly, this location gets great golden hour light.  Because it is an old growth forest, the golden light can easily get through the trees and below the canopy as it sinks into the horizon.

Why this location might be for you

I’d recommend this location for you if want any or all of the following:

  • Forested setting

  • You have toddlers or small children. We will have the place to ourselves, so we can stretch out, get comfortable, and let them roam between photos.

  • It is fall and you want to capture the changing leaves.

  • You need easy access. The trails are dirt, but they are pretty flat.
