Here are some things to keep in mind when styling yourself for your maternity session:

• All gowns/dresses on this page can be used for maternity regardless of if the gown/dress is shown on a pregnant or non-pregnant woman

• Make sure to pay attention to sizes. These gowns/dresses can be flexible, but there are sizes they won’t fit.

• Get out of your comfort zone. Choose at least one gown that you wouldn’t normally wear, but you think is cool.

• For deluxe sessions, where you get two dresses, make it count. Choose two very different dresses when it comes to both style and color. Otherwise, why have two?

• Make sure to choose at least three back-ups.

• Don’t forget the accessories at the end of the page. And get out of your comfort zone for those too. This is supposed to be fun!

Here are some things to keep in mind when styling your family members:

• Pay attention to the sections after each color “styling tips”. That talks about complementary colors. You’ll want to stick to complementary colors and neutrals for all family members.

• Don’t choose more than two colors (non-neutrals) for a nuclear family. For extended families, come up with a color for each nuclear family and have each nuclear family color be complementary to the colors for the other family units.

• There are dresses for little girls (ages 7 and under) towards the bottom of the dresses section. Use of those are also complementary for any deluxe or petite session.

• Need to find new clothes for your family or just need ideas that you might already have in your closet? Check out my Style and Select account (styling code: STYLING2023). Style and Select can be a little overwhelming, so I have recorded a intro video on how to get the most out of the system. You can find that video here.

• I recommend starting with mom’s outfit and then choosing outfits that coordinate with it for the rest of the party.

XS-XL

V neckline, wide sleeves, and is split on both sides. Finished with broderie lace trim and sheer. Flowy train behind the body. Paired with a body suit.

Underwear: Stick with beige or light gray underwear and it won’t show. If your skin tone is darker, you can wear black underwear as well. If you need to wear a different color bra, make it strapless.

Shoes: Shoes will show in this dress.
